Do a lot of town managers, mayors know you even exist?
Well we think some do but we’d like for more people to know about our organization.

What does your organization do that’s a value to this group?
We work with a lot of public officials on a number of fronts. We have a small business lending team that helping build the small business community especially around fresh foods. We have a ten million dollar loan fund specifically for companies involved in the fresh food industry. We also work with a lot of communities on low moderate housing projects that often times involve historic tax credits, as well as work with communities in our impact group on various initiatives to improve the quality of life in the communities.

How would a mayor for example if they qualified for the fresh food grant? Is it a grant or a loan and how would they know if they qualify?
It is a loan and the loans go directly to the businesses. All they need to do is refer those businesses that are involved in fresh foods or value added agriculture, and I will work with the individual borrowers to see if we can lend them money.

And how do they get in touch with you?
They can call me at 804-344-5484, or they can email us at wwaldrop@ccva.org
